College Honorary Life Member Award

This award recognizes a long standing College member who has contributed significantly to Canada’s health system through their role as health care leader. Honorary life members are selected at the discretion of the College’s Board of Directors.

As recipients are selected by the College's Board of Directors, there is no formal nomination to be submitted.

2016 Recipient: Mark Neskar, CHE

Mark Neskar is the former Chief Operating Officer of the RANA Respiratory Care Group. For over three years Mark helped to lead RANA in the provision of oxygen, sleep apnea and other respiratory care services in Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia.

Mark received his certificate in Health Care Administration at the the University of Saskatchewan in 1980 and his BGS degree at Brandon University in 1998. He recently served as a director on the boards of St. Joseph’s Residence and Middlechurch Home in Winnipeg. Currently he serves as chair of the board of Manitoba Blue Cross in Winnipeg and he is a member of the faculty of Red River College, Health Services Management Certificate Program.
