President & Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Governors of NYGH is seeking an accomplished leader to take the organization to its next level of achievement.

Our staff, physicians and volunteers have a history of transforming health care to better serve our patients. We are leaders in patient and family-centred care, who adopt the most innovative health information technology, strategists who carefully chart patient flow and find ways to reduce wait times, and visionaries who dream of, and work towards, the ideal patient experience. Working collaboratively to advance the Hospital’s strategic direction and operational excellence, the new President & CEO will be passionate about building on NYGH’s record of success as a high performance organization.

NYGH has a vibrant and distinctive culture to be cherished and nurtured – a compelling attraction for the new President & CEO. The Hospital has deep and resilient ties with the local communities and also is a respected and active participant in shaping Ontario’s overall health system.

The strategic leader sought will know how to motivate, inspire, build organizational capacity, and provide judicious financial stewardship for this complex and operationally sophisticated institution. Knowledgeable in and experienced with the dynamics of leadership in an academic community hospital, the preferred candidate is fully committed to exemplary care, education and research, and is energized by working with a dedicated Board and senior leadership team.

Possessing inspirational leadership instincts, and a keen intellect complimented by compassion and affability, the preferred candidate is eager to lead during a pivotal period of capital renewal and leverage the remarkable skills of a talented, engaged and committed staff, medical staff, students and volunteer group.
