Emily Zanini, Health Promotion Educator will discuss how as leaders we may contribute to the psychological protection of our staff. She will discuss a leader's role in creating healthy work spaces and implementing best practices.

Emily will share information on:
  • Incidence of workplace psychological health and safety issues
  • Vicarious trauma
  • Psychological health and safety standards
  • 13 factors impacting mental health at work
  • Available tools
  • Small changes leaders can make to promote psychological healthy workplaces

Guest Speaker: Emily Zanini, Health Promotion Educator

Emily Zanini is the Health Promotion Educator with the CMHA Sudbury/Manitoulin branch. She studied at the University of Western Ontario and worked in the health and fitness field before discovering her passion for mental health. She dedicates her work to educating the community on suicide prevention and intervention, mental health in the workplace, and other challenges that affect people living with mental health problems. She is a certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor through CMHA National and a facilitator of Mental Health First Aid with the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Emily often shares her mental health journey to recovery as a way to inspire hope and optimism for those living with mental health problems.
