About the Session:
Cancer is the leading cause of death in British Columbia and ½ of all people in BC will have a diagnosis of cancer during their lifetime. By 2035 the population of BC will grow by 20% however the number of new cancer cases will grow by 50%, due to the overall aging on our population. At the same time the costs and complexity of cancer care are also increasing. How do we as a health system prepare for and manage this oncoming Cancer Tsunami?
