Complex scenarios in healthcare are ones of ongoing or emerging uncertainty. To better understand the evolving digital and technology landscape in healthcare, join us as Gillian Kafka, Legal Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer of Hamilton Health Sciences, presents important issues facing health leaders. After a presentation on this topic, Kathleen Paterson, LEADS Facilitator, will facilitate a discussion to highlight how complex scenarios in this area can be resolved by using the LEADS framework (Lead self, Engage Others, Achieve Results, Develop Coalitions, Systems Transformation).

Gillian is Legal Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Hamilton Health Sciences. Prior to joining HHS, Gillian practiced health, privacy and defence litigation with two leading law firms where she represented a variety of health care professionals and institutions in both litigation and regulatory proceedings.

Kathleen is a compassionate leader with a talent for coaching and mentoring individuals and teams. She is a dynamic and experienced Leadership professional, with expertise designing and delivering learning, change and development initiatives to support individual and organizational growth. Kathleen brings to her leadership and coaching practice a broad experience in developing leaders and supporting change and transformation within organizations. She is an outstanding facilitator with the ability to build consensus with stakeholders at all levels and is comfortable and effective in ambiguous and complex environments. She has held several senior Organizational Development positions and her experience includes: Leadership Development; Change & Transformation; Strategic Planning; Communication and Coaching support for individuals and teams. She has extensive experience in healthcare, manufacturing and foodservice sectors. Kathleen is a certified LEADS® Executive Coach and Facilitator.
