Dr. Maura Brown, Radiologist, BC Cancer; Clinical Professor, Department of Radiology, UBC
Dr Brown is a Radiologist at BC Cancer, Vancouver and a Clinical Professor, Department of Radiology, UBC. A lifelong enjoyment of the outdoors and love for all living things led to her deep interest in climate change, biodiversity loss and the associated risks to human health. She is dedicated to work on reducing emissions and waste in healthcare and has recently completed an Executive Fellowship in Sustainable Healthcare at the National University of Singapore. Dr Brown chairs the BC Cancer Planetary Health Unit, the BC Radiologic Society Environmentally Sustainable Radiology committee and co-chairs the Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) Sustainability working group. She is active member of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE).
