Join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and insight at the Chapter’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and networking event, taking place at Joey’s Eaton Centre on May 5th, 2026 at 5:30pm.

This year’s AGM will feature a special leadership talk by Catherine Wang, Associate Deputy Minister, Ministry of Health, who will share her reflections from her career as both a hospital executive and a public servant. Catherine will discuss her most impactful leadership lessons, provide insights into current ministry priorities and offer a look at where the sector is headed.

Whether you're a seasoned executive, an emerging leader, or simply passionate about healthcare, this event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with peers and gain perspective on the future of health leadership.

Networking begins at 5:30pm, with food and drinks included as part of registration.

The AGM and leadership discussion will begin at 6:00pm

Catherine Wang, BSc, MHA,
Associate Deputy Minister, Ministry of Health

Catherine was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Clinical Care and Delivery for the Ministry of Health in May 2025. She is responsible for providing strategic leadership, policy and funding oversight related to hospitals; health capital infrastructure investment; administration of OHIP; physician and provider services in Ontario including primary care and negotiations with various provider groups; the Ontario Public Drugs Programs; and Assistive Devices Program.

Prior to her current role, she served as Assistant Deputy Minister of Hospitals and Capital Division, where she provided financial and policy direction to the capital and operational requirements of the Ontario's hospitals and provincial programs.

Previous to her senior government official role, she served as Vice President, Clinical at University Health Network (UHN). She was the executive lead to UHN’s Diagnostic Programs which include Laboratory Medicine and the Joint Department of Medical Imaging. She also led UHN’s organizational-wide strategies for Outpatient and Virtual Care with the aim to provide high quality, integrated, compassionate care consistently across its 300 clinics and 5 sites.

Earlier in her career, Catherine has held progressive management roles within the rehab, paediatric and acute care hospital sectors. And has previously served the McGuinty government as senior policy analyst for both Ministry of Health and Cabinet Office.

Catherine is married and a blessed mother to three - her two children and her Labradoodle.
