Inspire Nursing: A LEADS-based Leadership Program – Cohort 1, Summer 2026

In partnership with the Canadian Nurses Association, this program was developed to benefit nurses looking to explore and develop their leadership capabilities and influence change in the Canadian health system.

Inspire Nursing will keep the best aspects of the Dorothy Wylie Health Leaders Institute and be based in the LEADS in a Caring Environment health leadership capabilities framework. It is designed to provide nurses with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to be effective leaders in healthcare organizations and to effect system change. The innovative partnership will provide participants with membership in both organizations, and provide the ability to, upon completion, obtain the CHE designation and potentially a CNA certification.

Elevate your leadership journey with this exclusive cohort feature. The Summer Cohort in-person residency will run in conjunction with the Canada West Health Leaders Conference (CWHLC) at the Hyatt Regency Calgary on October 20-21, 2026. This unique alignment offers the best of both worlds: intensive, cohort-specific training combined with access to CWHLC opening plenary session and high-level networking .  You’ll have the opportunity to connect directly with the health leaders and voices shaping the future of Canadian healthcare while you master your LEADS-based nursing leadership skills.

To register for this program, please login or click on ‘become a member’ to create a free non-member profile.  Your nursing registration number is required at the time of registration and your licence must be in good standing.
