Wendy Beauchesne, CEO Alberta Cancer Foundation
Wendy Beauchesne is the CEO of the Alberta Cancer Foundation, the largest provincially based healthcare foundation and fundraising partner for all of Alberta's cancer centres. She joined the organization in 2020, and leads with a passion for fundraising, building high-performance teams, and turning strategy into results. Wendy has spent the majority of her career working in the healthcare sector. She joined STARS in 2011 to help expand the program into Saskatchewan and Manitoba and soon assumed the role of Vice President Corporate Services, providing leadership for human resources, IT, communications, and external relations. In 2017, Wendy was named Executive Vice President for the STARS Foundation with a mandate to transform the organization for long-term sustainability and execute on a $130 million capital campaign. Prior to STARS, Wendy spent a decade within Alberta's health authorities and worked to amalgamate and align 12 independent communications departments into one provincial team.
Wendy is a holder of the Institute of Corporate Directors Director designation (ICD.D). In 2025, Wendy was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
Wendy received the 2024 Calgary Influential Women in Business award for social enterprise and was chosen in 2020 as one of 250 Canadians to be a member of the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference.

Dan Marchand, Board Chair of the Alex Community Health Centre
Dan Marchand is a healthcare and community-services leader with more than two decades of experience working at the intersection of policy, operations, and frontline care. His work has focused on strengthening primary care, advancing digital health, and supporting community-based responses for vulnerable populations. He is the Board Chair of The Alex Community Health Centre and has played leadership roles in Alberta's evolving primary care system. Dan brings a pragmatic, systems-level perspective to conversations about innovation, collaboration, sustainability, and human-centred care.
