The Senior Manager of Education, Training and Development will lead the development and coordinate the delivery of a comprehensive education and training curriculum that meets the learning needs of Broadmead Care to advance its Purpose.

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, and in consultation and coordination with the Executive and Leadership Teams at Broadmead Care, the Senior Manager of Learning, Training and Development has varied responsibilities including:

  • assessing the learning needs of the organization and designing, implementing, and evaluating learning strategies to meet these learning needs;
  • driving leadership and organization development practices, standards, guidelines, processes and tools;
  • designing and delivering/facilitating courses and education plans using a variety of training modalities;
  • coordinating all third party training courses and programs;
  • coaching leaders in expanding and applying leadership competencies and helping to develop their teams and team members including facilitating learning conversations.
  • the Senior Manager of Education, Training and Development requires a level of education, training and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in Adult Education or related discipline and 5 - 7 years of recent experience in a complex health care environment;
  • relevant experience with assessing, designing, implementing and evaluating learning strategies and methodologies based on adult learning principles and practices;
  • comprehensive knowledge of current adult education theory, methodologies, and tools including change management, leadership and team development;
  • demonstrated coaching and facilitation skills;
  • ability to build and maintain effective working relationships;
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing;
  • strong analytical and problem solving capabilities;
  • physical ability to carry out all functions of the position;
  • must be eligible to work with vulnerable adults under the BC Criminal Records Review Program;
  • valid Criminal Records Check completed by the Criminal Record Review Program;
  • must demonstrate a personality, ability and temperament necessary to manage or work with persons in care.
