Andrew Holland, CHE, named recipient of 2026 Robert Zed Young Health Leader Award

The Canadian College of Health Leaders is proud to announce that Andrew Holland, CHE, Chief Executive Officer & Administrator of Grand View Manor has been named recipient of the 2026 Robert Zed Young Health Leader award, recognizing his exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact within Nova Scotia’s long-term care sector.

As CEO of Grandview Manor and former Chief Administrative Officer of Cumberland Senior Care Corporation, Andrew has consistently demonstrated a rare ability to navigate complex system challenges with creativity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to improving care for residents and working conditions for staff. His leadership reflects the very essence of this national award, which celebrates young health executives who are shaping a more effective and sustainable health system for Canadians.

Throughout his career, Andrew has championed transformative initiatives that have delivered measurable improvements in long-term care, from reducing overtime and agency reliance to strengthening staff engagement and expanding full-time roles. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing a shared provincial scheduling services hub and in securing diverse funding to enhance programs, capital projects, and innovative therapy services in rural communities. Grounded in empathy, integrity, and a collaborative spirit, Andrew consistently places residents and staff at the centre of every decision.

The Robert Zed Young Health Leader Award is presented to a Canadian healthcare leader, age 40 or younger, who has demonstrated leadership in the effectiveness and sustainability of Canada’s health system.
