Due to its inherent complexity, the establishment and management of culturally competent health care systems is challenging for many healthcare leaders in Canada.
This presentation will highlight key findings of various research hubs operating in this field across Canada. It will provide healthcare leaders tools in the identification of known decisional biases, the recognition of systemic blind spots and the development of an institutional inventory of scalable practical strategies. This presentation is intended to demonstrate that improvement of the accessibility of care, with the realization of fair and predictable health outcomes and quality of care for all, can be achieved without financial hardship through a multifaceted approach.
