CF Starlight – Leading medical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the battlespace.

This session was presented on February 18, 2026

In modern conflict, the "Golden Hour" is shrinking. When seconds determine survival in austere environments, Unlocking Artificial Intelligence capabilities isn’t just a tool—it’s a force multiplier for the medic.

Join us as we explore the cutting-edge of Battlespace Medical AI. We’re moving beyond theory into the tactical reality of the following applications:

Predictive Triage: Algorithms that can forecast critical conditions such as hemorrhagic shock before symptoms even appear.

Closed-Loop Care: Smart ventilators and IV pumps that stabilize casualties during long-range, unmanned evacuations.

Autonomous Documentation: "Hands-free" digital scribes that record vitals while medics focus on life-saving interventions.

Augmented Training: VR simulations that use AI to replicate the chaos and physiological stress of mass casualty events.

From wearable analytics to autonomous MedEvac, AI is bridging the gap between injury and recovery. Discover how machine intelligence is rewriting the survival chain and ensuring no soldier is left behind.

Featured Speaker:

Major Jean-François Landre, CD, MBA, EMBA, LLM, CHE is a Commanding Officer of a Health Services Centre in the Canadian Armed Forces. Major Landre has more than twenty-five years of experience in the public and private sectors related to health resources planning and management, and delivering specialized training on care in complex operational contexts, including disaster relief, national assistance, stabilization, combat operations and counter terrorism. He has also published throughout his career on nurturing organizational resilience, leading during crises, optimizing health informatics and on cyber security implementation in healthcare establishments.
