The LEADS Framework Steering Group, comprised of LEADS Global, the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL), and the Canadian Health Leadership Network (CHLNet), embarked on a comprehensive, evidence‑informed refresh of the LEADS in a Caring Environment Framework.
Supported through Mitacs funding and undertaken in collaboration with Royal Roads University, this 18‑month effort involved an extensive body of work to understand how the framework needed to evolve in light of the realities shaping today’s health systems, including the COVID‑19 pandemic, demands for reform, climate change, artificial intelligence, social justice, clinician retention, and the pressures of an aging population.
