Leading Through Significant Change – Breakfast with OUR Chiefs is an educational series that provides key health leaders from Hamilton and Area the opportunity to share new ideas, insights and expert opinions on topical issues and innovative approaches to redesigning our health system. In our inaugural event of the series, Jim Hornell will take us through his experience of championing and orchestrating a significant change management process in the Brant Community Healthcare System. Specifically, Jim will discuss his redesign of the organization into a “value-stream leadership” structure and how he managed that change within all levels of the organization..
SPEAKER: Jim Hornell, CEO Brant Community Healthcare System
Jim has served as the President & CEO of the Brant Community Healthcare System based in Brantford & Paris, Ontario for the past four years. Prior to moving to Ontario, Jim served as Chief Executive Officer of Cypress Regional Health Authority in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Jim was also Chief Operating Officer & Vice President – Corporate Development with the Central Health Authority in his native Newfoundland. He has baccalaureate degrees from Memorial University in Newfoundland and a Masters degree from the University of Ottawa. Jim is also a health system accreditation surveyor with Accreditation Canada and has surveyed health systems in most provinces within Canada and internationally. As a volunteer, Jim has served at local, provincial, national and international levels within the sport of hockey. Presently Chairman of the Board of Hockey Canada, he has toured internationally with several of Canada’s national teams and attended the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

| MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION
Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 1.50 Category I credits toward their maintenance of certification requirement.
|Refund and Cancellation Policy: For refunds, all cancellations must be received no later than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after that date. Substitutions for persons attending can be made up to the start of the event without charge.|
