  June 22, 2015
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST
Christie’s Carriage House Pub

The Vancouver Island Chapter invites its members to our second journal club event as our kick off session was such a success. We will bring together CCHL members, all of whom are at varying stages in their careers, to discuss thought provoking articles on leadership.  For each session, we will distribute an article to registered participants beforehand and gather in an informal yet engaging setting to provide an opportunity for networking followed by a thoughtful discussion on the chosen article.

For our next journal club topic, we will be discussing Daniel Goleman’s “Leadership That Gets Results” from Harvard Business Review. Goleman proposes that effective leaders use a combination of six distinct leadership styles. They need to be fluid and dynamic in the application of different styles:   "... the research indicates that leaders with the best results do not rely on only one leadership style, they use most of them in a given week - seamlessly and in different measure - depending on the business situation."

This Members only event is free; however please register early as space is limited.
It is expected that each participant will purchase their own food/drink at the meeting location.

Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 1.50 Category I  credits toward their maintenance of certification requirement.
