  October 29, 2015
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST
Christie’s Carriage House Pub

The Vancouver Island Chapter invites its members to join our next journal club session. We will bring together CCHL members, all of whom are at varying stages in their careers, to discuss thought provoking articles on leadership.  For each session, we will distribute an article to registered participants beforehand and gather in an informal yet engaging setting to provide an opportunity for networking followed by a discussion on the chosen article.

For our next journal club topic, we will be discussing Michael Fullan’s “Transforming Schools an Entire System At A Time” from McKinsey & Company. Fullan discusses how recent large-scale efforts yield useful lessons for relatively quick whole-system reform. Although the article speaks to system change across schools, it offers insight that may also be applied to the health sector. Come prepared to discuss Fullan’s four “dilemmas”: accountability, policy-overload, capacity-building, and sustainability.

This Members only event is free; however please register early as space is limited.
It is expected that each participant will purchase their own food/drink at the meeting location.

Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 1.50 Category I  credits toward their maintenance of certification requirement.
