ABOUT THE SPEAKER

As Executive Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Operating Officer, Brenda Flaherty is accountable for clinical programs and clinical support services at Hamilton Health Sciences. She is currently a member of the Provincial Neurosurgery Executive Committee, and co-chair of the Neurosurgery System Capabilities Working Group and the Epilepsy Implementation Task Force. Brenda provided leadership for the development of The Live Well Program partnership between the YMCA of Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford, Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University that consists of nine programs serving children and adults, focusing on frailty, self-management, and easy transition from hospital to community. Brenda is a registered nurse, holds a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University, received her Masters of Public Administration from Queen’s University and completed the Rotman School of Management-Institute of Corporate Directors Program.
