The Hamilton & Area Chapter is excited to host a stimulating panel discussion about healthcare leadership implications and organizational considerations surrounding the physician-assisted death legislation.  Following brief presentations from expert professionals in organizational ethics; patient and caregiver legal rights; and ethical obligations to patients, a discussion will be steered using the LEADS in a Caring Environment (LEADS) framework as the group works through how organizations can prepare to enact the federal legislation and ultimately respond to a request for physician-assisted death.  Comments and questions arising from this discussion, offered by both panelists and audience members, will be captured to help guide future dialogue in this area.  Hamilton & Area’s Chapter annual general meeting will follow the panel discussion.

Please note that a recording of this event will not be available to registered participants following the session and will not be posted to the College's Professional Development Library.
