     Parker Reception Hall
(G2066, Women’s Building, IWK Health Centre)

The final event in the EHL Nova Scotia workshop series for 2016/17, Stepping it Up will combine networking skills and health system expertise to further develop an emerging health leader “brand” and networking skillset. Steve Ashton, VP People for the IWK, and Robert Zed, CEO of Triangle Industries and networking guru are our guest speakers for the first part of the workshop.Steve Ashton will provide a short workshop on how to build a health leader brand, then Robert Zed will provide a crash course on strategies to launch that brand.

The second part of the workshop will be a networking event in which attendees will able to apply their new knowledge and skills to communicate with existing and emerging health leaders. Senior leaders will be available in “ stations” hosting conversations around pre-determined topics in relation to health, leadership, and mentorship.
The event is the first of its kind being offered in partnership with the Emerging Health Leaders, Dalhousie University MHA program Executive In Residence Professional Development Series, and the Canadian College of Health Leaders Bluenose chapter. The event is targeted at collaboration and integrating emerging and early career health leaders, students, and alumni and executives in the system.

Special thanks to the IWK, Aramark, and Dalhousie University for their sponsorship of this exciting event!
