Guest Speaker: Isabel Henderson, Senior Operating Officer, Alberta Health Services, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital

Isabel Henderson is a healthcare professional with over 25 years of diversified experience in the health care industry as a senior executive, educator and consultant.

Isabel is Senior Operating Officer, Alberta Health Services (AHS) with operational responsibility for the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital (GRH) in Edmonton, Alberta.

Isabel’s areas of specific expertise include Rehabilitation, Geriatrics, Community Care and Public Health. She is a graduate of both Mount Allison University and the University of Toronto and has completed additional post-graduate studies at the University of Alberta (Faculty of Business) and the Banff School of Management. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor within the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Alberta and a member of the Honorary Editorial Board of the Journal of Healthcare Leadership. In 2015 Isabel was appointed as Chair, CapitalCare Management Advisory Committee. CapitalCare is a wholly owned subsidiary of AHS and is the largest public continuing care organization in Canada.

Isabel has a vested interest in service quality and innovation. Under Isabel’s leadership, the GRH received the 3M Health Care Quality Team award in 2012. Isabel’s leadership has also been recognized through a Regional REACH Award for Leadership and as a nominee for Edmonton’s YWCA Women of Distinction Award. In June 2012 Isabel was honoured to receive the CCHL Medtronic Innovation Award for Health Care Leadership in Canada. In May 2017, she was awarded the AHS President’s Excellence Award for Distinguished Service

Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 0.75 Category I credits toward their maintenance of certification requirement.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:  
For full refund, cancellations must be received no later than ten (10) days prior to the scheduled event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after that date. Substitutions for persons attending can be made up to the start of the event without charge. In circumstances where the Chapter cancels an event, all registered for that event are eligible for transfer or full refund.
