Thrive through uncertainty. Take charge of change. Grow with confidence.

The Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian College of Health Leaders is pleased to announce in partnership with QNET Manitoba, the ‘Get Grounded’ is Manitoba’s premier conference for leaders. The sessions are designed to bring together leaders from many industries in Manitoba, including health care, to a one day conference on May 16th, 2018 at the Victoria Inn Conference Centre.

The conference’s opening speaker is Dr. Janet Lapp, a highly acclaimed speaker, psychologist, author and consultant for workplace transformation. What would happen if everyone in the organization saw the positives and not the problems in change? What would it look like if people broke out of their molds, pushed their boundaries, and developed innovative attitudes? These questions inspired McGill University-educated Dr. Janet Lapp and her team to conduct decades of research enacting these types of changes in the workplace, with amazingly positive results. Janet will share the evidence-based results derived from years of experience in her books and presentations. She has a professor’s ability to translate complex theory into useable answers and a humorist’s knack for getting ideas across in an entertaining way.

Over the course of the rest of the day there are breakout sessions with speakers addressing issues under leadership and management, quality and effectiveness, workplace wellness and tools and techniques.

Yvonne Thompson will close the day’s proceedings. She is a leading expert in the field of leadership and organizational culture, focusing on the development of an Accountability Culture that comes from the inside out.

Participants in the conference will:
  • Discover tools and inspiration to think differently and put new ideas into practice.
  • Share and learn with other forward thinking leaders - current, emerging and aspiring - from a wide cross section of industries.
  • Challenge yourself to grow as a leader, and refine the leadership skills that will take you into the future.
  • Get grounded, thrive through uncertainty and leave with an action plan to take charge of change in 2018!

College members can attend the conference at the partner rate, which is $329 + GST. If you register before April 30, the rate is $279 + GST.

You will also receive 6.5 MOCs. When College members register online, there is a section that requires you to choose “Membership Type”.
