The Future of Cannabis: Challenges and Opportunities in Healthcare

February 4, 2019
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Eastern Time

Since its legalization in October 2018, there has been resounding demand to demonstrate the benefits and harms of cannabis. While prescribing medicinal cannabis is nothing new, as the acceptance and accessibility of the substance increases, a lack of scientific research and policies to support administrators, clinicians, patients and community organizations across the health sector is increasingly apparent. Join the Canadian College of Health Leaders Hamilton & Area Chapter on February 4 as we bring together clinical, research, community and industry perspectives to discuss ongoing data collection efforts to better understand the effectiveness of cannabis for various indications, and what is missing in literature, policies and education for clinicians, patients and organizations to navigate this new reality.
