Join us in this fireside chat webinar, where we talk with three patient safety leaders about what does the future of patient safety look like and how can organizations transform their patient safety efforts for greater impact.

Dr.Ward Flemons, Health Quality Council of Alberta
Dr. Ward Flemons is Medical Director, Health System Improvement with the Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA). He is also Professor and Head, Division of Respiratory Medicine for the University of Calgary and AHS, Calgary Zone. He practises at the Foothills Medical Centre and leads patient safety & quality education for the W21C (a research and innovation centre in the School of Medicine). Dr. Flemons’ leadership led to a number of important patient safety initiatives in Alberta, including the development of regional patient safety policies (disclosing, reporting, just & trusting culture), a regional guideline on the management of serious adverse events, and the implementation of a new electronic safety learning reporting system and the establishment of a patient / family safety council.
Sandi Kossey, Canadian Patient Safety Institute
Sandi Kossey, MHA, BScPT, CHE is passionate about healthcare improvement and champions meaningful partnerships with patients. In her senior executive role with the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) she leads national and international initiatives with governments, leaders, providers, patients and families to improve the quality and safety of healthcare. Teri Price, Greg’s Wings
Teri is currently the Executive Director of Greg’s Wings Projects, a not-for-profit organization created to honour Greg Price. Greg was Teri’s brother and the impact of Greg’s journey combined with her own experience in the healthcare system has led to Teri’s commitment, along with her family, to drive improvements in care.
