Yee Hong is one of the foremost providers of culturally appropriate senior care in the country, delivering high-quality resident experience and care to Chinese and other Asian seniors since 1994. The organization operates 805 long-term care beds and 308 seniors’ apartment units, with an additional 224 long-term care beds opening in a new home by June 2026. In addition, Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care, a hospice residence, and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Through this comprehensive network, the organization serves more than 15,000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.
The Vice President, Operations is a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, accountable for the overall performance and integration of long-term care and home and community care services across multiple sites. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure efficient, standardized, and high-quality service delivery aligned with organizational goals. With oversight of five long-term care homes and the full suite of home and community programs, the Vice President will focus on operational excellence, financial sustainability, and workforce effectiveness – while also driving consolidation, process improvement, and accountability across the organization. Working collaboratively with senior leadership, the Vice President will lead initiatives that enhance care quality, streamline operations, and promote consistency in service delivery. This includes strengthening performance management, implementing evidence-based practices, and identifying opportunities to optimize resources and reduce operational redundancies. A key priority will be to embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all sites, ensuring care is delivered with efficiency, compassion, and compliance to regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare leader with deep expertise in long-term care and clinical operations. They will have a minimum of 10 years’ progressive senior managerial experience in long term care or healthcare services as well as a degree in nursing, business administration, or health administration. They bring a strong track record of leading high-performing teams, advancing quality improvement, and implementing resident-centered care models. They possess a strategic mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration. Adept at navigating complex regulatory environments, they have experience working with government agencies, accreditation bodies, and sector partners. This individual is an inspiring and compassionate leader who engages and empowers teams, builds strong relationships with residents and families, and drives continuous improvements that enhance the quality of life for seniors.
This individual is an experienced operator, capable of leading multi-site organizations through change, integration, and growth. They have a track record of standardizing operations, managing budgets, and improving organizational performance while maintaining a strong commitment to resident and client-centered care. Adept at navigating regulatory frameworks and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, they are a relationship-builder who inspires accountability, fosters innovation, and champions excellence across all levels of the organization.
