The landscapes of work and leadership have changed and have primed us for systems-wide improvements. This requires a new leadership approach or paradigm as we navigate staff expectations of increased autonomy and flexibility in terms of where, when, and how they work.

In the midst of the most severe health human resources (HHR) crisis of our generation and following a nation-wide survey of healthcare CEOs on staff engagement and retention, CCHL created a novel people and leadership strategy, called The Great Optimization. Essentially, it involves engaging people and experimenting with various customized approaches to work to optimize each person’s contribution and thereby, maximizing outcomes. Getting this right has the potential to improve results from the individual to the system levels.

Please join us for an engaging commencement address by Dionne Sinclair, Vice President, Clinical Operations and Chief Nursing Executive at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) who will speak about helping organizations achieve their goals towards integrated and equitable care and supports for people with mental illness, improving access to excellent patient-centred care, and the importance of EDI.
