In the rapidly evolving landscape of healthcare, the integration of digital technologies has become pivotal for enhancing patient care, improving healthcare delivery, and optimizing digital health ecosystems. Canada, with its diverse and widespread population, faces unique challenges in healthcare delivery, making the adoption of digital health solutions essential.

This presentation delves into the critical importance of building digital care capacity and fostering digital health knowledge, skills, and attitudes among the healthcare workforce in Canada. It underscores the necessity for a digitally competent healthcare workforce to meet the current and future needs of the Canadian healthcare system.

The future of healthcare in Canada is intrinsically linked to the digital competence of its healthcare professionals, making the cultivation of these skills not just beneficial but essential for the continued health and well-being of its population. The transition towards a digitally enabled healthcare system in Canada requires a Pan-Canadian collaborative effort to build digital care capacity and enhance the digital health competencies of the healthcare workforce.
