Managing absence, whether injury related or due to personal issues is not for the faint of heart. It is challenging for all those involved. Now that WCBNS has introduced legislation and a new policy, effective September 1, 2024, covering ‘Gradual Onset Stress’ that arose from work, there is a heightened sensitivity for employers. Dallas Mercer has been working in this field for over 30 years. This presentation will dive into the impacts of work and absence from work.
- What am I allowed to ask?
- When can I call and how often?
- What information do I need?
- Do I call the doctor?
- Is it okay for them to work?
