Mike Nader
Mike Nader is the President and CEO of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Before this, he was the Chief Transformation Officer at Ontario Health, where he led the integration of 20 provincial agencies and local health integrations networks into a single agency. He was on secondment from the University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto, where he served as Executive Vice-President, overseeing diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, facility operations, capital projects, business development, and performance. Mike also previously served as Chief Operating Officer at UHN, managing clinical operations at Toronto General, Toronto Western, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute.
Mike has experience in British Columbia as well, where he was Chief Operating Officer for Vancouver Coastal Health from 2012 to 2016. With over 25 years of leadership experience, he has held various healthcare roles in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from the University of British Columbia, as well as a Master of Arts in Health Care Leadership from Royal Roads University. Mike completed his Executive Lean Leader and Executive Lean Director designations in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2024, he earned his Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.d).
Mike serves on the Board of Directors for the Health Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC), the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL), and the Manitoba Association of Safety in Healthcare (MASH). He has previously served on Boards for Plexxus, the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, the Richmond Hospital Foundation, and several other organizations. Since 2009, Mike has also been a surveyor with Accreditation Canada, participating in assessments both in Canada and internationally.
