Susan Niemeier, MHA, BSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer | VP, Clinical Excellence, Fresenius Kabi

Named as a top 25 Woman Leader in Medical Devices in 2022, Susan has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, beginning her nursing career in complex clinical environments, inspiring her to understand the relationship between technologies and the impact on patient outcomes. She is currently Chief Nursing Officer and VP, Clinical Excellence at Fresenius Kabi where she brings a wealth of experience across functional teams including clinical practice, product development, professional service operations, marketing, and sales. She is an established thought leader on innovation, and has extensive knowledge in device development, medication safety, performance improvement, and research. Her research interests centre on nursing practice, nursing vitality, and emerging technologies that support safe and effective care.

Don Juzwishin PhD, FCCHL, Editor-in-Chief, Healthcare Management Forum

Don Juzwishin, PhD, FCCHL, brings 40 years of experience in healthcare administration, research, consulting, and education at various levels. His focus is on applying science and values to health policy and decisions making, reforms, and informatics. Specializing in health technology assessment, he informs decisions on clinical and cost effectiveness of healthcare interventions. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Healthcare Management Forum since 2018 and leads the health service challenge area of AGE-WELL Canada’s technology and aging network since 2014. Don has held leadership roles at the Greater Victoria Hospital Society, Alberta Health Services, the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research, and the Health Council of Canada.  He is adjunct professor at the Universities of Alberta, Calgary and Victoria.
