Leadership. Dedication. Impact. Andrew (Andy) McLetchie embodies all three. With over 20 years of experience, he has played a pivotal role in expanding healthcare services and improving rural and northern Saskatchewan access to care. As Vice President of Integrated Northern Health and Chief Nursing Officer, Andy has championed mental health initiatives, strengthened nursing partnerships, and enhanced healthcare delivery for some of the province’s most underserved communities.

Andrew (Andy) McLetchie has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to nursing leadership and healthcare innovation for more than two decades. Andy has played a pivotal role in expanding healthcare services and supporting rural and northern communities, from frontline patient care to executive leadership. Before joining the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) in 2018, Andy served as CEO of the Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region, leading healthcare services in some of Saskatchewan’s most remote and underserved areas. During his time there, he worked closely with Indigenous communities, local healthcare providers, and regional leaders to improve access to essential services and strengthen healthcare delivery.

As Vice President of Integrated Northern Health and Chief Nursing Officer at SHA, Andy has been instrumental in:

  • Expanding mental health and addictions services across the province, increasing accessibility and reducing wait times.
  • Strengthening nursing partnerships, ensuring better alignment between frontline teams and executive leadership.
  • Enhancing healthcare services in remote and northern communities, focusing on community-driven solutions.

Andy has always put patients and families at the heart of his work, ensuring that healthcare services remain accessible, responsive, and of the highest quality.
