Join us for an evening of speed mentoring sessions among peers, mentors, and other aspiring health leaders across the country. This event will allow you to get insight from self-identified mid-careerists who have recently made the jump into leadership positions such as directors, managers, clinical chiefs, leads and supervisors.

Starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, we will welcome our keynote speaker Andrew Williams, CHE, the 2024 CCHL Mentorship Award winner. You will then have the chance to participate in three 20-minute rounds of small group speed-mentoring.

Andrew’s healthcare leadership experience, currently has spanned small, community, teaching and research hospitals, the community sector, regional systems, private clinics, and international health care. He believes our health system should be less about its structures, and should be focused on the health and wellbeing of those providing care and the communities supported by ensuring individual health needs are met in the safest and most appropriate manner.

Andrew's active participation as a surveyor with Accreditation Canada underscores his commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring that he stays abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the field. His leadership philosophy embodies the essence of effective mentorship within the healthcare sector. With his long career being marked by a commitment to fostering talent, Andrew has set a high standard for mentorship excellence. The success stories of his mentees attest to Andrew's impact on shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders. His commitment to being available and present is acknowledged and is instrumental in allowing long standing mentor – mentee relationships to develop and evolve.

His approach to mentorship is characterized by personalized feedback, constructive input, face-to-face meetings and a genuine desire to see others succeed. As CCHL’s 2024 National Mentorship Award recipient, Andrew stands as a strong example of mentorship excellence, enriching the healthcare landscape through his leadership and dedication to supporting our next generation of leaders.
