Located in Orangeville, Headwaters operates as an acute and complex continuing care facility, offering both inpatient and outpatient services, as well as an Emergency Department with 24/7 coverage. With over 700 staff and over 160 physicians, the hospital is accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada. Headwaters is currently seeking a:

Vice President, Corporate Services & CFO

Reporting to the President and CEO, the VP Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal leadership role in both the planning and oversight of support services within the hospital and the community it serves. This role provides strategic oversight/leadership to areas including Finance, Registration, Information Management, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Privacy, , Housekeeping, Food Services, Laundry, Maintenance/Facilities (including Medical Office Buildings), Materials Management and Security. The role is focused on the following outcomes:
  • Develops and executes on strategic initiatives and projects that will drive all components of the support functions to provide a foundation on which to deliver the strategic objectives of HHCC.
  • With the CEO, establishes the organization’s culture to drive operational excellence and patient centred care through physician / staff engagement, patient / staff safety and continuous quality improvement.
  • Accountable to the CEO for the financial strategy now and in the future to deliver a balanced budget and work towards financial sustainability respecting Ontario’s evolving Health System Funding Reforms (HSFR).
  • Fosters collaborative relationships, partnerships with appropriate agencies and organizations to advance system approaches to care within its community, the Central West LHIN and the provincial health care network.
  • Oversees the negotiation, implementation and continuous improvement of non-clinical services acquired through purchased service agreements to ensure Headwaters has access to effective, high quality, timely supports required to achieve our strategic plan.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • University degree in Business or equivalent, MBA preferred;
  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) considered a strong asset;
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation considered a strong asset;
  • Minimum 10 years progressive senior financial leadership experience;
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in relation to complex issues in the health system environment.
