Physician Health Program

Our Physician Health Program (PHP) department provides a range of services to doctors, medical students, and veterinarians across the Province and supportive services to family members. PHP services align with the belief that physician health matters and that education, early intervention and treatment are important in helping to sustain a healthy medical workforce. Services to members include timely connection to treatment and resources (for example treatment of substance use or psychiatric conditions, counselling, coaching and more). 

Job Summary
You will provide administrative management and operational leadership for the Physician Health Program and lead the program development, expansion, strategic planning, promotion, evaluation, and reporting. You will also be responsible for ensuring PHP's accountability and maintaining strategic relationships with its main stakeholders. 
 
You will make a difference by:
  • Directing and managing full-cycle planning for the department’s operations, including the annual budget; 
  • Directing and managing full-cycle strategy planning and long-term objectives;
  • Acting as the PHP Privacy Officer and managing the Risk Management aspects for the PHP;
  • Leading the program evaluation and performance reporting activities, including audits;
  • Managing the administrative staff (including recruitment, performance management, coaching, training/development and employee engagement).

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Health or Business Administration (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6 years of Health Services industry experience;
  • Expertise in strategic planning, program evaluation, quality improvement, and change management;
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory bodies’ policies and legislation.
