The SHA serves a provincial population of 1.14 million, with infrastructure and services that consists of 245 facilities with 3,170 acute care beds. The SHA provides provincially coordinated quality, patient-centered services, such as Acute hospital-based care, Long Term Care, Mental Health and Addiction Services, Primary Health Care, Public Health, and many other community-based clinical programs designed to promote and maintain health of the population.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Physician Executive, Integrated Northern Health will drive clinical excellence, strategic planning and organizational performance across Integrated Northern Health including primary health, acute and long-term care and Mental Health and Addictions. You will be accountable for leading cross functional teams to enhance healthcare outcomes, improve patient satisfaction and drive innovation in clinical practice.

In this critical role, you will co-lead with the Vice President of Integrated Northern Health to develop and implement service delivery models that improve access, quality, and efficiency across northern Saskatchewan. Your responsibilities will also include driving operational performance, managing budgets, and leading key quality improvement initiatives that align with SHA’s broader healthcare goals. As well, you will co-sponsor provincial Mental Health and Addictions strategy development and deployment for the organization, leading transformative change and shaping the future of mental health and addiction services across the province. You will serve as a member of the executive leadership team, guiding the development of business plans, providing recommendations to the CEO, and key strategies for workforce development. Additionally, you will collaborate with external partners, such as government agencies, medical institutions, and community organizations, to ensure that services are responsive to the unique needs of northern Saskatchewan communities.

As a highly collaborative leader with over 5 years of senior healthcare leadership experience, you will be adept at managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in dynamic and diverse environments. You have a deep understanding of healthcare systems, particularly in northern or rural settings, and the ability to foster a culture of patient- and family-centered care. You will be politically astute, capable of navigating government processes and relationships with unions, physicians, and healthcare partners. A licensed medical practitioner in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan, you will demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Experience in healthcare administration, advanced leadership studies, or public administration is preferred. Strong communication, financial acumen, and the ability to motivate teams to achieve excellence will be key to your success in this role.
