A Message to CCHL members from our Board Chair

May 5, 2020

Thank you.

We all chose a career in health because of a common desire to serve, help, heal, and improve the lives of others. As a leader in the health sector, you are dealing with, oftentimes firsthand, the unprecedented burden, toll, and (sadly) tragedies of COVID-19. In situations like this, it’s important to accept that much of what is happening is beyond our control. Now, more than ever, our knowledge, skill and ability as a health leader is required. Your College is there to support you in whatever capacity we are able to get through this time.

To that end, I also want to provide our members with an announcement regarding our 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM). As previously announced, we will not be holding the AGM in June out of respect for our members’ schedules during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the special circumstances of the COVID19 pandemic, our Board of Directors will be recommending that the 2020 AGM be held as a virtual meeting on September 16, 2020 at 4 PM (Eastern Time). We hope that you will be able to participate.

For the latest news and relevant resources, please visit the College’s COVID-19 update web page.

Finally, I would like to close with how I started this message.

Thank you to all the dedicated College members, health workers, industry partners and leaders who are actively working diligently to manage the COVID-19 crisis. We look forward to meeting again in the future and sharing our learnings and experiences. We are so fortunate to have such dedicated people working in our health care system.

Stay safe.
