Sandi Kossey, CEO, Alberta Dental Association
Sandi Kossey is currently the CEO of the Alberta Dental Association, possessing more than 20 years of health leadership and governance experience at provincial, national, and international levels. She has held senior executive roles with the former Canadian Patient Safety Institute (now Healthcare Excellence Canada), Mental Health Commission of Canada, and PwC. Sandi previously served on the Board of Directors of the Health Quality Council of Alberta and the Northern Alberta Chapter of CCHL and is currently an Executive Board Member of Imagine Citizens Network.
Throughout her career, Sandi has developed an exceptional acumen of health and social care systems, health policy and healthcare improvement, and not-for-profit, charity, and social enterprise governance, strategy, and operations. As an award-winning Certified Health Executive, Sandi has established a strong network of trusting relationships built on a reputation of mutual respect and collaboration.
Patrick Dumelie, CEO, Covenant Health, Covenant Care and Covenant Living
Patrick Dumelie is the Chief Executive Officer of Covenant Health, Covenant Care and Covenant Living. Together, these organizations are one of the largest Catholic providers of health care in Canada. With a combined budget of over $1 billion, the Covenant family is a trusted provider of health care and seniors services in Alberta and a strategic partner in the integrated health system serving the province.
Patrick offers his strategic and health care expertise and leadership on several international, national and provincial boards. He serves as a Board member with HealthCare Can and as Past Chair with Christian Health Alliance of Alberta. He is also a member of the Pope’s Commission of International Healthcare and recently served as Vice-Chair of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada and as Board member with Alberta’s Catholic Social Services. He holds an MBA from Queens University and a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Regina and received the Midcareer Leadership from the Catholic Health Alliance in 2013.
Patrick’s extensive health care career includes serving as President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President.
Marianne Baird, CEO and Registrar, Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
Marianne completed her occupational therapist and MBA training at the University of Alberta. Her career focused first on vocational rehabilitation and disability management, then on provincial government finance, government contracting, then back to health care through collaborative care projects and most recently leading a regulatory organization.
Tim Murphy, Vice President, Health, Alberta Innovates
Tim Murphy has more than 30 years of senior executive experience in the health care sector. Currently, he is the Vice President, Health at Alberta Innovates and prior to this role, he was the Vice President, Provincial Platforms and SPOR.
Before joining Alberta Innovates, Tim established an independent consulting practice and worked with clients such as the Institute for Health System Transformation and Sustainability and the C.H.I.L.D. Foundation, and the Movember Foundation. His other roles have included being the inaugural Senior Vice President at the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) and 10 years in senior management positions with two comprehensive Academic Oncology Centres: Princess Margaret Hospital (1992-1997) and the British Columbia Cancer Agency (1997-2002).
Tim holds a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the University of Toronto (1992), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University (2006), and a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. In 2023, Tim was awarded Digital Health Canada’s Digital Health Executive of the Year.
Cory Komant, CEO, Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre
Cory Komant earned a Master of Business Administration specializing in Innovation Leadership and a BScN from the University of Alberta. As a healthcare professional and leader, his experience encompasses roles in Critical Care, Rural settings, Professional Practice, Organizational Education Design, Change Management, Project Management, and Electronic Health Record Implementation.
Embracing his natural inclination towards Coaching, he is drawn to Servant Leadership while working to become the Transactional leader today. His overarching goal is to foster the development and coaching of individuals, empowering them to strive for their best selves continually. I am committed to aligning them with our shared Vision and encouraging innovation in their work.

Dr. Kimberley Simmonds, Assistant Deputy Minister, Alberta Health.
Kim has a PhD in hospital epidemiology with expertise in research methodology, infectious disease epidemiology and surveillance. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings and roles. In 2020/21 she was the analytics & modelling lead for the COVID response team in Alberta. Before taking on her recent ADM role, Kim was a Senior Manager EY, National Healthcare Practice helping with healthcare issues across the country. Kim is an adjunct professor at the University of Calgary
