Kelly Lamrock, Q.C., New Brunswick Child, Youth and Seniors’ Advocate
On December 8, 2021, the Legislative Assembly recommended the appointment of Kelly Lamrock as New Brunswick Child, Youth and Seniors’ Advocate. Mr. Lamrock began his mandate on February 7, 2022.
As a two term Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Fredericton-Fort-Nashwaak, Mr. Lamrock held a number of senior roles, including Opposition House Leader, Minister of Education, Minister of Social Development, Minister of Justice and Attorney-General.
After leaving politics in 2010, Mr. Lamrock served as Executive Director of the Assembly of First Nations Chiefs in New Brunswick. He worked in Tunisia as Parliamentary Affairs Director for the National Democratic Institute, an NGO charged with offering strategic assistance to Tunisian parliamentarians and political parties in their transition to democracy. He established Lamrock’s Law, a firm focused on administrative, family and criminal law.
Among his many community activities he is an enthusiastic amateur actor, co-founding Mostly the Moment Theatre Company in Fredericton and performing with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society and Bard in the Barracks. He has won numerous awards for stand-up comedy, most recently appearing as a finalist in Hubcap Comedy Festival’s Rising Stars Showcase.
Shelley Fletcher, MSc., CCMPTM, Change Management Practice Lead, Mariner Innovations Inc.
Shelley Fletcher has over 25 years' experience managing change projects, product implementations, and strategic communications within large and mid-sized organizations. She began her career in health care in 1992 and spent the last eight years leading corporate communications. She later joined the technology industry as a senior change consultant integrating change management practices within technology and business transformation projects.
Shelley joined Mariner in 2019 and is now leading the growth and development of Mariner's health care vertical.
Shelley holds a BA Honours in Psychology and a Master of Science in Experimental Social Psychology. She is a Certified Change Management ProfessionalTM through the Association of Change Management Professionals and a certified Prosci change practitioner.
Alina Cress, Wellness Specialist, Finance and Treasury Board, Government of New Brunswick
Alina is the Wellness Specialist with the Government of New Brunswick in Finance and Treasury Board’s Safety and Wellness team and has been with GNB since 2018. Alina led the development of GNB’s Employee Wellness Strategy, which prioritizes occupational, mental, and physical wellness. She is also a member of New Brunswick’s Physical Activity Strategy Steering Committee . Alina’s passion is fed by her life-long involvement in the fitness, recreation, and wellness industry and her 20-year career spanning the private sector, self-employment, academia, and now the public sector. Early in her career, Alina became a trained outdoor adventure leadership facilitator in Ontario where she worked with a variety of teams ranging from corporate sectors to competitive sport teams. She moved to New Brunswick in 2004, unbeknownst to her that this beautiful province would become her home and place to raise her family. Alina worked for the Department of Recreation at the University of New Brunswick where she helped to establish new recreation and fitness programming offered at the Richard J. Currie Centre. Alina’s educational background includes a bachelor in kinesiology, a diploma in massage therapy, graduate studies in exercise science, and several fitness certifications. She is a former Varsity athlete (McMaster University), was an assistant coach with UNB’s Women’s Volleyball program for several years, and is the proud recipient of Fitness New Brunswick’s Gina Simpson Leadership Award. Alina truly believes that wellness is not just about what we do, but how we do it and most of all, any effort - big or small - makes a difference. Everything counts!
Brad Wasson, Executive Partner with Executive Programs (ExP), Gartner Canada
Brad Wasson is an Executive Partner with Executive Programs (ExP). Brad spent a decade at NB Power where he was the first director of their smart grid modernization program and then appointed to a newly created position of Chief Digital Innovation Officer. As CDIO Brad’s task was to lead the IT organization and the corporate digital transformation, as well as to create a culture and formal organization capabilities for digital innovation using solutions such as augmented/virtual reality, robotics, data science and AI.
Bringing over 30-years of multi-industry experience creating companies and leading and consulting to digital technology and innovating organizations in challenging business environments, Brad is an entrepreneur and innovator. He co-founded the AI-based healthcare startup NeuroAIInc focused on the identification and assessment of neurological disorders. Brad was also the co-founder of Business Bridge Inc, a management consulting company created to build strategic alignment between the business side of an organization and the information technology organization to maximize their investments in technology and to achieve their business objectives.
Brad has been recognized globally and nationally at corporations for advancing strategies and solutions to enable employees and customers and to achieve market aspirations. He worked at Hewlett-Packard in their IT service management consultancy and in one of HP’s global organizations developing intellectual property for the consulting workforce. Known for his innovative, business and technology leadership, he has spoken at national and international events on topics spanning business strategy, career planning, and technology.
Brad has an engineering degree in geomatics and master’s degree in computer science, is avid photographer and sports enthusiast, and enjoys writing and publishing content on the evolution of technology and business.
