In this webinar, Jan Kasperski, Founder and Founding President & CEO of Resilient Kids Canada presents her Fellowship Select Program's Impact Paper, and explores the lessons, joys, and challenges encountered while celebrating partnerships, experiential learning, servant leadership, and mentorship. Resilient Kids Canada was established due to concerns during the pandemic about the well-being of children, parents, caregivers, and educators. The paper emphasizes the message, "It is easier to create a resilient child than to treat a troubled one." With a broad career background, Jan leveraged experiences in healthcare, education, and leadership to build a new charity, emphasizing entrepreneurship, innovation, and partnerships.

Jan is a consummate healthcare professional who drives vision into reality, policy into actions and evidence into practice change, recognized as a leading advocate for the healthy development of children and adolescents. As the CEO of the Ontario College of Family Physicians, Jan became known as one of Ontario's premier leaders of primary care renewal with the creation of Family Health Teams. Jan developed collaborative relationships provincially, nationally and internationally. As the CEO of the Ontario Psychological Association, Jan was esteemed for her advocacy work for our most vulnerable citizens, especially those with mental health problems. As liaison with the Ministry of Education, Jan was engaged in the development of all day junior and senior kindergarten. Highly skilled in government, media and health professional relationships, Jan is known as a 'system connector', an academic with excellent teaching, writing and consulting skills, a major player in the drive for performance and quality improvement; a catalyst for system integration and change management and referred to as a 'healthcare icon.' Even Jan had multiple lessons to learner as a Founder and Founding President & CEO of a Registered Charity - Resilient Kids Canada.
