Following an extensive consultation process, UNBC recently restructured its academic model from two Colleges to five Faculties, with an aim to ensure students and faculty are provided an exceptional experience in an innovative, interdisciplinary, and dynamic academic environment. The Faculty includes an innovative and exciting diversity of disciplines, including psychology, social work, nursing, education, and health sciences.

Reporting to the Provost, the new Dean provides overall strategic leadership and direction to Faculty on all undergraduate and graduate academic programs, experiential learning opportunities, and pathway initiatives across northern British Columbia and beyond. The Dean is responsible for ensuring a high-quality educational experience for UNBC students throughout the region and supports the growth of the faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished scholar appointable as an Associate or Full Professor at UNBC within one of the five disciplines in the Faculty. With passion and commitment to advancing the excellence of research and education in the Faculty, the Dean will bring outstanding skills as it relates to leadership, communications, and relationship building to be highly effective in this role.
