Optimizing organizational engagement and performance through leadership integration
Leadership Organizations
A Leadership Organization represents a workplace in which leadership is distributed throughout the organization at all levels and integrated into the organizational culture. Leadership Organizations feature unique characteristics, including a clear focus on organizational vision, mission, and values (their True North), shared accountability, and a collective commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
CCHL Leadership Organizations
CCHL has developed Canada’s first set of benchmarks to guide and support organizations to successfully integrate leadership into their organizational culture. The CCHL Leadership Organization (CLO) benchmarks are a leadership integration guide for organizations.
The evidence-based CLO benchmarks are sorted within seven categories that demonstrate a purposefully cultivated leadership culture. There are three levels of integration achievement possible within the CLO benchmarks. Level One represents achievement of the best-practice foundational benchmarks of a Leadership Organization with executive engagement. Levels Two and Three represent progressive achievement in the CLO benchmarks to all positional leaders and then to all staff.
By achieving and sustaining CLO benchmarks, organizations foster an engaged and empowered workforce, resulting in increased leadership capacity and performance, aligned with its core values and strategic objectives. This not only enhances outcomes at all levels, but also increases retention and strengthens recruitment efforts by creating a workplace culture that attracts top talent and facilitates long-term success.
CCHL Leadership Organization Evaluation Tool
CCHL has developed a self-assessment tool designed to guide organizations in evaluating their current state of leadership integration based on the CLO benchmarks. The CCHL Leadership Organization (CLO) Evaluation Tool systematically guides respondents through the CLO benchmark criteria and generates a summary report indicating which CLO criteria are achieved by the organization according to level: Level One, Level Two, or Level Three. Additionally, it identifies any remaining benchmarks that need to be fulfilled to attain the desired level of CLO status.
The CCHL Leadership Organization Evaluation Tool is an online form in which users may self-evaluate their organization’s status of achieving the CLO benchmarks within the seven categories.
