The CCHL National Mentorship Program is offered at no cost to all College members, at every stage of their career, from coast to coast. The program can be accessed through the College’s online community and leadership development platform called the CCHL Circle.

The BC Lower Mainland (BCLM) Chapter of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) and Emerging Health Leaders (EHL) Vancouver invite emerging, established, and senior health leaders to take part in the 2026–2027 Mentorship Program.

Whether you want to accelerate your leadership journey, gain perspective from an experienced health leader, or give back by supporting the next generation, mentorship offers something that can be difficult to find in the day-to-day workplace: a dedicated relationship focused on learning, reflection, connection, and growth.

Participants are thoughtfully matched by the BCLM CCHL/EHL Vancouver Mentorship Committee based on leadership goals, areas of interest, experience, geography, and what each participant hopes to gain from the relationship.

Why participate?

For emerging health leaders: Gain insight from someone who has navigated challenges you may be encountering for the first time. Strengthen your leadership confidence, broaden your network, and learn from experiences beyond your own organization.

For experienced and senior health leaders: Share the lessons and perspectives you have gained throughout your career while continuing to grow as a leader yourself. Mentorship is an opportunity to give back, support the development of future health leaders, build new connections, and gain fresh perspectives from the next generation of leadership.

• Program at a glance
  
• Mentors: Experienced health-care professionals with more than seven years of health-care-related work experience. CCHL membership is not required.
  
• Mentees: Students currently enrolled in a health-related leadership program (such as an MHA, MBA, or EMBA) or health-care professionals within their first five years of work experience in the health-care sector. Mentees must be EHL or CCHL members.
  
• Matching: Matches are based on interests, geography, leadership goals, experience, and mentoring goals.
  
• Time commitment: Approximately 1–2 hours per month from October/November 2026 through June 2027.
  
• Flexible participation: You may apply as a mentor, a mentee, or both.

Leadership grows through connection.
The strongest mentoring relationships are not about giving advice. They create space to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, share experiences, and learn from one another. Both mentors and mentees bring valuable perspectives to the relationship.
