Liliana Canadic, Chief Nursing Officer – Ministry of Health
Born in Croatia, Liliana graduated from Nursing in Croatia and also holds a Batchelor of Science in Nursing from Canada.
She worked in health care in Croatia, North Africa, Ontario and North West Territories.
Liliana joined the Ministry of Health in 2021 and has been involved in the development of Health Human Resources (HHR) Action Plan since the beginning. She serves as HHR Action Plan Executive Team member.
As an internationally educated nurse, she has the lived experience of an immigrant woman and the journey to becoming a nurse in Canada.
Through her role of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), she works closely with provincial colleagues from nursing education, regulation , employment, nursing associations, as well as nursing students to advance professional nursing practice in Saskatchewan.
On the national level, Liliana is past co-chair and current member of the Principal Nursing Advisory Task Force (PNATF) and served as strategic advisor to Federal CNO on nursing retention.
