CCHL members have many ways of getting involved with the College, as we strive to provide the leadership development, tools, knowledge and networks that members need to become high impact leaders in Canadian healthcare.

Members can get involved by participating in the following activities

National Awards Program

Participate in our National Awards Program

The National Awards Program boasts 16 awards honouring leaders in healthcare, including senior executives, emerging leaders, administrative and operational teams, nurses, students and more. Help recognize the health leaders and organizations impacting our health system by nominating them for a College award.

Join a Committee

The College has several committees where members can get involved. Some of these include our Award Selection Committees, a Corporate Advisory Committee, an Ad Hoc Mentorship Committee, and more. Keep an eye out in your inbox and on the College’s social media platforms for committee openings.

Volunteers

Volunteer with your Local Chapter

Involvement in a local chapter provides members, students and potential members with opportunities to develop leadership skills and make important professional contacts. Contact your Chapter Executives to learn how you can get involved.

Mentorship

Become a Mentor/Mentee

Shape the health leaders of tomorrow while developing your own leadership skills by becoming a mentor. Being a mentor will help you gain insights into the barriers facing aspiring leaders, reflect on your own work, and share your knowledge. The mentorship program provides mentees with the ability to advance their careers, refine their skills, and train to become capable health leaders.

Refer a Friend

Refer a Friend to the College

College members who refer a new active member will be entered into a draw for a free 1-year membership. Please ask the referred individual to note your name in the “how did you learn about the College” field on their membership application form, so that we may include your name in the draw. The lucky winner will be selected in September from all qualified participants from the previous 12 months.

Healthcare Management Forum

Publish a Healthcare Management Forum Article

Healthcare Management Forum (Forum) provides stimulating, thought-provoking information on innovative solutions and leading practices related to health leadership. Authors who publish with Forum will enjoy rigorous peer review of their research, prompt publishing, a multidisciplinary audience, high visibility, and citations in the world’s top 5 medical journals.
