Brightshores Health System is a multi-site health care corporation which operates six hospitals and a mental health wellness and recovery centre in the Grey Bruce region. With a team of 2,100 dedicated and compassionate staff and over 200 physicians who work together delivering excellent patient care to residents and visitors across Grey Bruce, the organization has more than 200,000 patient visits per year and over 2 million short-stay seasonal visitors. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Finance & Development and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a member of the senior leadership team and provides strategic leadership and direction in setting and achieving the objectives of the organization aligned the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Brightshores. The CFO leads the financial stewardship for the organization and utilizes best practices to implement financial, procurement and business intelligence systems compliant with regulations and legislation in an environment that informs the organization for decision making, clinical planning and supports excellence in the delivery of patient care.

The ideal candidate is a strategic visionary, blending astute financial acumen with a forward-thinking approach. With a keen eye for cost-effective solutions, they will possess a unique ability to chart a course for initiatives that extend beyond immediate needs, encompassing long-term sustainability and growth. With a proven track record in capital replacement planning oversight, they have navigated the complex terrain of asset management with finesse, ensuring the hospital’s infrastructure remains resilient and adaptable to evolving demands. Most importantly, they are a strong communicator and collaborator, adept at engaging both internal stakeholders and external partners in fostering a culture of accountability around the organization’s finances. Through transparent communication and a shared commitment to fiscal responsibility, they inspire confidence and drive collective efforts towards achieving financial excellence and sustainable success.
