Osler will also play a critical role in the development of Ontario’s next net-new Medical School, in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), and as part of its transition to an Academic Health Centre. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President, Medical and Academic Affairs (CoS), the Corporate Chief of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Corporate Chief) will have an exciting opportunity to shape the future of obstetrics and gynaecology services at William Osler, serving a diverse and rapidly growing population. As Corporate Chief, you will lead the development and delivery of cutting-edge care across multiple sites, including initiatives aimed at enhancing maternal care, women’s health services, and complex gynecological treatments. You will have the chance to drive impactful changes, from advancing clinical protocols to expanding specialized services, all while working with a talented team of healthcare professionals. Your leadership will play a critical role in improving health outcomes for women and families across one of Ontario’s fastest-growing regions.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who embraces collaboration and engagement across the program and with other key portfolios. They should be a physician in good standing with the College and able to be credentialed within the department. They will have extensive clinical expertise in obstetrics, gynaecology, and ideally, maternal-fetal medicine as this is a key program expansion initiative. The next Chief will have a strong background in both medical practice and administration, with a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration across various departments. The candidate demonstrates a commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement of women’s health services – all while fostering a culture cohesive and collaborative team dynamics. With a track record of success in managing large-scale programs and implementing innovative solutions, they are skilled in balancing strategic leadership with hands-on clinical oversight, ensuring that both patient outcomes and organizational goals are achieved, and they will embrace the ambitions new academic mission.
