Sandy Jansen
Sandy is known as a passionate, high-performance and results-oriented Health Care Executive who has successfully led multiple interdisciplinary teams to success in a variety of complex and critical initiatives. Sandy is recognized as having the vision, courage and ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and demonstrate personal and professional resiliency during high-profile crisis situations.
Sandy was appointed as Vice President, Patient Care and Risk Management at St. Joseph’s Health Care in January 2022. Prior to joining St. Joseph's, Sandy served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll. A pharmacist by training, Sandy has held a number of leadership roles in London and the Region including within Clinical Informatics, Clinical Applications and Regional Shared Service, Pharmacy and Patient Safety and Experience.
Dedicated to leadership development, Sandy earned a Master of Health Studies in Leadership, completed the Rotman Health Leadership Program, and is a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. Sandy is a frequent guest lecturer at the Ivey Business School at Western University and a Surveyor with Accreditation Canada. Sandy completed the ICD Rotman Directors Education Program and obtained her ICD.d in 2024.
From a governance perspective, Sandy has served in executive roles on several community Boards including Anova (formerly Women’s Community House), Thames Valley Family Health Team and is currently Chair of the Board of Governors, Fanshawe College.
