Sandra Ramelli

Sandra Ramelli is an accomplished strategist, learning facilitator, coach and organizational development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in multiple sectors including health care, steel and education. For the past decade, Sandra has committed herself to enhancing health care for patients and families. She has held several senior roles health care and has served as a trusted advisor and coach to many administrative and physician leaders. Sandra has extensive experience in strategic planning, leadership development, team performance, organizational design, culture transformation, staff and physician engagement and in leading complex transformational change. As an Assistant Professor in Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Medicine at McMaster University, Sandra supports the growth and development of physicians through coaching and delivering leadership development programming.

In addition to her professional experience, Sandra is an ICF certified ACC Coach, a certified LEADS  Coach and Facilitator, and is certified in Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard methodology. She holds a Master of Business Administration from York University Schulich School of Business, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University.

Sandra is deeply passionate about developing strong relationships, engaging leaders in innovative and systems thinking, fostering collaboration across the healthcare system and building leadership capability using the LEADS framework. She has been a strong champion for LEADS since 2008 and has contributed story vignettes of her experience in bringing LEADS to life in healthcare in the book Bringing Leadership to Life in Health: LEADS in a Caring Environment (2nd Edition).
