Rachel Foster

I am a seasoned executive coach, educator, and facilitator, with over 2000 hours of coaching experience, and more than 30 years diverse experience in the health care sector in Canada and the UK.   Beginning my work life as a nurse and midwife in the UK, I moved to Canada in 1987 to experience nursing in northern BC and later Alberta. Over the years I have worked in acute care, emergency, continuing care, community and public health, and administration, as well as a sessional lecturer for the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta, and an internal executive coach and facilitator with Organizational Development, Covenant Health, Alberta. My work has included projects related to evaluation, mentorship, recruitment and retention at a regional level, and also communicable disease and safety initiatives at a provincial level.  For the past 10 years I have become passionate about leadership and supporting the creation of healthy, productive, respectful workplaces and offered strength based, results-oriented leadership coaching and facilitation for individuals and teams. My clients include senior executives, managers, physicians, nurses and allied health professionals and their teams in a variety of healthcare settings, as well as senior leaders in corporate, business and not for profit sectors across industries.
