Maeve O'Byrne

Maeve O’Byrne has a progressive executive background in leadership and innovation within successful healthcare non‐profit organizations. With over 30 years experience she brings a creative eye to organizational development and the power dynamics of organizations, boards and communities.

A trusted leader in the non‐profit world she has the ability to ask tough questions, enough doggedness to pursue answers and the sense to know when to back off and allow for silence. Maeve brings an international perspective on   organizations from having lived, studied and travelled broadly around the World.  She is Past President of the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation and a graduate of Royal Roads University Executive coaching program, as well as an accredited coach through the ICF (International Coach Federation), and is qualified as a Coach in the LEADS Health Leadership Capability Framework and a 360 Debriefer. She has a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies and holds a Graduate Certificate in Personal Leadership (Leading self and others in the Public Sector) from Royal Roads University. Maeve specializes in leadership and performance coaching, strategic planning services, organizational development and Succession planning.

She has the ability to attend to the person she is working with, holding her clients accountable, willing to delve deeply for answers believing that we often need to move outside our comfort zones in order to grow, reach new goals and achieve success.  Maeve is a member of the ICF, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Hospital Growth Summit. She has presented nationally and Internationally on Governance, Succession Planning and Benchmarking, she is an organizational consultant and coach, a constant volunteer and a Reiki Master.
